"Saving the Plains: The Bison Gambit," by Rutgers professors Deborah Epstein Popper and Frank J. Popper {Outlook, Aug. 6}, was billed as a "contemporary idea ... that is expanding our intellectual frontiers." Contemporary, yes, but about as intellectually exciting as a dried buffalo chip.
