Brooding concerto MSO matches weighty piece with dark sound By TOM STRINI Journal Sentinel music critic Saturday, November 1, 2003 Elgar's Cello Concerto is as slow-moving and melodramatic as a Gothic tale shot in black-and-white in an English manor house. The Milwaukee Symphony played it at Friday's matinee, with Raymond Leppard conducting and Lynn Harrell as soloist.
