Bort Carleton using garment leather LOS ANGELES - Industry veteran Bort Carleton is taking an unconventional approach to building his new line of men's footwear. Under his own label, Bort Carleton, El Segundo, Calif., Carleton is using garment leather on a number of styles in his spring line which includes Western boots, sandalized looks, slipons and ties. The line is sourced in Mexico with price points in the $34-$42 range for shoes and $66 for boots.
