The former Cornell University Episcopal chaplain has written a book about spending the summer of 1961 working with the Rev. Martin Luther King Sr. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.
Gurdon Brewster's "No Turning Back: My Summer with Daddy King," published by Orbis Books, "recounts the transformative faith of the Kings and their congregation and how witnessing the injustice of racism and segregation changed Brewster's own understanding of the Gospel," according to a news release from the publisher.
