Blue is not my color. It haunts me, chases me, a ghost running through my dreams--tormenting. The shade of trauma, hands touching me against my will, fragments of horrors; my cries silenced by the color blue. I will not wear blue or choose anything to be in my world that is blue. I have spent my life running from this color. But when it's time to heal I seek out blue, find places where I risk, trust, and will not be let down. Embracing blue, I return to face the terror and dream again.
