Many people wonder why special attention is given to historically black colleges and universities. After all, they all offer respectable, accredited degrees, right?

About 80 "Black Achievers" learned the answer to that question during this year's YMCA Black Achievers College Tour, sponsored by Harley-Davidson Motor Co. The Black Achievers are Milwaukee-area high school students selected by the YMCA based on their academic, athletic, extra-curricular and civic achievements.
