A Tarrytown biotechnology company has parted ways with its second-highest executive after less than a year on the job -- the latest in a series of cutbacks stemming from disappointing results in May of tests for an oral form of a blood-thinning drug. Emisphere Technologies Inc. announced the departure of Dr. Alan W Dunton as its president and chief operating officer following the biotech's decision to eliminate his job.
