Poetry was a substitute for religion for noted poet and author Kathleen Norris for many years. "But I discovered in my 30s that was not enough," said Norris from her Hawaii home this week. "I started to examine my spiritual journey. I moved in a circle and ended up back where I started -- in the Presbyterian Church where I was raised -- where others end far away from where they start."
