Paul Berger of Hopedale, he of the record-shattering 500 series, heads a parade of five bowlers competing in Saturday's $20,000 TrueValue Championships at Pilgrim Lanes in Haverhill. The live hour-and-a-half show airs on Channel 5 at 6:30 p.m. with Don Gillis and Ed Harding as hosts. Back on May 2, Berger rolled televised strings of 158, 149 and 193 for a 500 total -- the highest bowled in the show's 34-year history.
