In his most recent column on the Confederate-flag controversy at Harvard {Aug. 10}, Nat Hentoff refers to the flag Brigit Kerrigan flew from her dorm-room window as the "Stars and Bars." Unfortunately, however, the term "Stars and Bars" does not accurately refer to Brigit Kerrigan's flag, the Confederate flag seen on T-shirts, visors, bumper stickers and license plates throughout the South.
