You can forget the rumors and reports about the demise of the Central Dauphin football team. Just ask Manheim Central. The Rams marched into Lancaster County Friday night, took advantage of six MC turnovers and laid a 31-20 beating on the Barons in the season opener for both teams. It was the Barons' first loss at Elden Rettew Field since Oct. 17, 1997 when Ephrata beat them 9-7. Central turned the ball over five times that night.
