A package received by independent bookseller Stuart Brent Books had a packing slip for a Dalton store in Bloomington, IL, that showed a higher discount rate than was published by B & T. The American Bookseller Assn will sue B & T for discrepancies in its discounting structure. IN A CASE that veteran industry members said is not unusual, Baker & Taylor Books has been caught giving a Dalton Bookstore in the Midwest a higher discount than is published in its discount schedule.
