BARNES & NOBLE has opened what may be the largest general bookstore in the country on Route 17 in Paramus, N.J., a New York City suburb. At 60,000 square feet, the store is larger than any other Barnes & Noble excluding the flagship store on lower Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, which also stocks textbooks and scholarly/professional books.
