Barnes & Noble's new superstore on Broadway at 83rd St. is not the bookseller's largest store, but with 32,000 square feet and over 200,000 titles, its size is impressive for space-squeezed New York City. Public response has been so overwhelming that the store is already adding to its staff of 125.

"I think 83rd and Broadway is getting a lot of attention," says Len Riggio, B & N CEO, "because we finally put [a superstore] under everybody's nose." Riggio admits the store is "on the large end," but says that he sees it as part of an evolutionary process.
