Competition comes naturally to Americans. Art, lacking a final score, is harder to understand.
That is not lost on Simon Dow, artistic director of the Milwaukee Ballet. He's bringing the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat to the company's 2001-'02 season.
Four choreographers will compete in the "Genesis" program at the Pabst Theater on March 21 to 24, 2002. The winner will be chosen by a panel of outside experts and the audience. ...
