Sales volume at wholesale vehicle auctions will grow this year, the nation's two largest auto auction companies predict.
More off-lease, rental and commercial fleet vehicles returning to the market as used cars and trucks will fuel the increase, say economists for Manheim and ADESA Inc.
Higher volume will help moderate used-vehicle prices, says Tom Kontos, ADESA's vice president of analytical services. That is good news for dealers who are buying used cars and trucks for the spring selling season, Kontos says.
