Construction workers are deconstructing an LSU-area icon, taking down the McDonald's that has served generations of students, professors, staffers and tailgaters. FirstWorthing bought the property, which is across from its housing gamble that paid off and helped spark a rush to the North Gates of LSU, an area critics once said was too threatened by crime to be a residential success.
