At the funerals, war hits home for Doyle
A solemn governor puts politics aside, pays his respects

Madison -- Gov. Jim Doyle wears many hats, but when he attends a funeral for a fallen soldier, he can't help but be there as a father, he says.
"Being a parent of young men in their 20s (Gus, 29, and Gabe, 25), these are very hard," Doyle said Monday.
"But for me, the hardship is minimal compared to what the families are going through," Doyle said.
