You have probably seen those arches of tubular steel designed to span garden walks. They are usually covered with some kind of green permanent coating, and your imagination almost certainly runs to splendor, but let me suggest restraint. No sooner did I acquire some arches than I planted them with some of my favorite roses, things like `Mrs. F.W. Flight,' `Blairi No. 2' and other ramblers of pink and white that bloom only in May but then dazzle the eye.
