Archaeological findings in the ancient city of Troy in modern-day Turkey lend new plausibility to the account of the Trojan War in Homer's "Iliad," archaeologists said last week. Manfred Korfmann, an archaeologist at the University of Tubingen in Germany, said his recent excavations at Troy have revealed a much larger city than previously believed, including fortifications, palaces and cemeteries.
