Associated Press Denver Rocky Mountain News 01-18-1998 ARCHAEOLOGY Ancient Greek arch restored ATHENS, Greece - Archaeologists have started emergency cleaning and repairs of Hadrian's Arch, the majestic marble archway turned black and crumbling by age, pollution and acid rain. It's the first recorded restoration for Hadrian's Arch, dating from 132 A.D., Nikos Beloyiannis, the project's scientific director, said Friday.
