Long after most publishers assumed she just didn't want to do it, Anita Hill has decided to write an autobiography as well as a history of sexual harassment. Doubleday announced yesterday the acquisition of both books for an undisclosed price. Rival publishers estimated it at well over $1 million. The University of Oklahoma law professor said it was the number of people who sent letters after her testimony against Clarence Thomas two years ago that changed her mind.
