Earl Ubell's article "When is Heart Surgery Really Called For?" {Parade, March 13} is inaccurate in at least one respect: He states "the first {angioplasty} in the United States was done in 1988." If that were true, I'd be interested in knowing just what Dr. Douglas Rosing was doing to me in 1987.
