ROGER SUTTON: Were you a reader as a kid?
JON SCIESZKA: Yes, I was. In Catholic school, you wanted to be an achiever. Academic achievement was practically on par with theology--if you weren't doing your schoolwork, you were probably going to hell. So being a reader was actually to the good side.
