Ryan Staff writer Best-selling San Francisco author Amy Tan has postponed an October lecture in Syracuse because she wants to avoid a cross-country flight in the wake of last week's terrorists strikes. Tan, author of such popular books as "The Joy Luck Club," "The Kitchen God's Wife" and "The Bonesetter's Daughter," was scheduled to kick off the 2001-2002 Rosamond Gifford Lecture Series, which raises money for the Onondaga County Public Library, on Oct. 2.
