Willingham, Brian Michigan Chronicle 04-22-2003 I feel blessed that two of my children sing in the Title I Children's Choir in Flint. The group, comprised of children solely from Flint schools, range in ages from 7-17 and are primarily African American. Under the direction of Diane Hardy and Sidney Oliver, they tend to touch a particularly soft spot with me when they sing "America, America."
