Echoing Buddy Guy's string of wins some years back, Luther Allison swept the W.C. Handy Blues Awards for the third straight time this week. But the victory was bittersweet because the popular blues entertainer, who died in August from cancer, wasn't there to receive his trophies or acclaim.
