Alice Sebold became a household name in 2004 when her novel "Lovely Bones" was published. From heaven, a girl brutally raped and murdered tells the story of how her family copes. Heavy, yes, but it was so beautifully written that it was a bestseller, and a movie adaptation is set for 2008.
Her second novel, "Almost Moon," focuses on Sebold's obsessions with identity, freedom and the "impossibility of living free on the Earth just by the fact that we have parents," she said.
