The blue turf of the Reggie Lewis Center track was as familiar as an old shoe: Ahmed ruled this oval in high school, as he ruled Massachusetts track. He ran for Boston English, setting Massachusetts and New England records for the 1,000 meters indoors and winning the national high school title in the 800 as a sophomore.
