Boston English senior Said Ahmed completed his high school athletic career last Saturday in Raleigh, N.C., at the Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Running against the country's best high school competition, Ahmed finished fifth in the 800 meters, in 1:50.65, .21 off his personal best set the previous week at the Golden West meet in Sacramento. Ahmed's career concludes with numerous state championships and records, including the state 800-meter outdoor mark that he set two weeks ago at the state championship meet.
