ADLER PLAYS IT SAFE

WASHINGTON (FNS) - With his second chance at men's wear retailing, John B. Adler, 48, is determined to do it right.

"We're going to crawl before we walk, walk before we run," said Adler of his new, one-unit store that opened Nov. 15 under the name John B. Adler Clothier, Inc., in Chevy Chase, Md. "We have to establish what can sell and what doesn't sell. We can't afford to do a lot of experimenting."
