It might sound trite, but it's true - Adam Nadolski didn't know a stranger.
He was friendly, talkative, and always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was giving money to a person in need, offering clothing, a hot meal or, in one case, a car.
"We had this wild old car, a Buick, and he'd pile in every neighborhood kid and take us all to the drive-in," James Nadolski, one of Mr. Nadolski's two sons, said. "He'd probably get a good dozen kids in there."
Once at the drive-in, Mr. Nadolski would buy treats for all.
