The rock music singer/songwriter/artist Adam Sherman made with his group Private Lightning in the late 1970s always leaned heavily toward the artistic side. Now he really is an artist - a painter affiliated with the Bromberg Gallery. The rock has all but been filtered out of his music, and his latest self-released CD finds Sherman singing jazz compositions with an easy-going, Chet Baker-style croon.
