Congratulations on publishing the excellent article by Peter J. Riga on "Civil Disobedience: The Last Resort" {op-ed, Aug. 23}. It is by far the best concise analysis of the current national situation on abortion that I have seen in a major newspaper. I just hope The Post's entire editorial staff will ponder it carefully. One would think that The Post would place itself in the tradition of William Lloyd Garrison on this issue, given its tradition of seeking a leadership role in so many others.
