The object of our trip was to act as observers on behalf of The Brehon Law Society at the trial of three Irishmen, Jim Monahan (Donegal), Martin McCauley (Armagh) and Niall Connolly (Dublin) who were arrested in August 2001 on charges of aiding the FARC guerillas in their insurrection against the Government.
