When after years of struggle you at last realize the American dream, a patriotic gesture of some sort seems called for. So earlier this year, when Joseph (Tinh) Bui and his wife, Dieu, realized their American dream of opening Bui Viet Bida -- Boston's first Vietnamese billiard hall -- they did it on the Fourth of July. The Buis, both in their early 30s, fled Vietnam as "boat people" in 1976 and came to the United States two years later.
