Jack Thousand is a big fan of "The Wizard of Oz."
You can tell simply by looking at the sycamore tree in his Jamesville yard.
Thousand and his wife, Danni, carved the tree to have a face from the famous 1939 movie.
"My husband is a fan of "The Wizard of Oz' and the trees that talk in the apple orchard," Danni said. "That's what made him want to do it."
"She said I could do this, finally. It's something different," said Jack, who said he's seen the famous movie, taken from the book written by Chittenango native L. Frank Baum, about 30 times.
