Four years ago, the Academy of American Poets launched a campaign to boost public interest in poetry and designated April as National Poetry Month. According to Bill Wadsworth, executive director of the academy, the annual celebration has taken on a life of it's own. This year enthusiasm for promoting poetry has reached a new level.
