The 2002 summer baseball season could not have started soon enough for Muskego.

Especially since the team lost to Brookfield Central, 6-4, last year in a sectional final for the second consecutive time.

"I wasn't talking for at least two days," Muskego catcher Matt Augustine said. "It was probably one of the worst feelings ever. I wanted to start this season immediately. I couldn't take it anymore."
