Kim Edwards came into this world thirsty for words.
As a toddler, she requested one bedtime story after another. Again. Another. One more, please.
"There was no satisfying that appetite," her mother recalls. "We would buy books, but after a while, you'd break the bank. So we'd go to the library a lot."
Although pleased with their oldest child's fondness for fairy tales and the like, John and Shirley Edwards, of Skaneateles, were a bit baffled. They weren't big readers themselves, after all. So where did Kim's fixation come from?
