The sports world was in mourning Wednesday following the death of legendary Grambling State University football coach Eddie Robinson.
Robinson died late Tuesday at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, La. He was 88.
"A legend and just a great, great man is gone," former Robeson High football coach Roy Curry, who played against Robinson's Grambling teams during his college football days at Jackson State University, told the Defender.
