The Rimbunan Hijau Group (RHG) is a company with interests in news- paper, optical fibre cables, truck assembly, shipping, travel, minerals, insurance, tyres, cocoa, and banking. But its core business - and the one on which the whole group was founded in 1975 - is timber. The company celebrated its 20th anniversary in May last year and appropriately, considering its timber background, commissioned its brand new particleboard mill in June.
