Industry old-timer Core Laboratories has tripled its revenues as it has grown beyond its traditional core analysis business. I still drink coffee from a Core Lab coffee cup, and on occasion wear my orange Core Lab baseball cap, both artifacts from my days as a working geologist. Back then, my colleagues and I pulled thousands of feet of core on dozens of wells, and we drank gallons of coffee in the process.
