The Baltimore Museum of Art announced yesterday that it had received the largest individual gift in its history, a $10 million pledge from Dorothy McIlvain Scott, a longtime supporter of the arts. The donation will support the operations and programs of the museum's American Wing. "This really is an amazing gift and will be important in sustaining our vibrancy as we move forward," said Doreen Bolger the museum's director.
