Two people were killed Thursday night in Parish when their red Corvette skidded off county Route 26, state police said.
The crash sounded "just like a jet plane," Lorraine Bahrs said.
Police were not releasing the identities of the two victims late Thursday night.
The crash happened at 8:01 p.m. in front of 1682 county Route 26, state police Capt. Jeff Raub said. The Corvette was speeding eastbound when it started skidding sideways, he said.
