Woody, played by Tom Hanks

Description

Woody is a small cowboy doll with a pull string in his back. When his string is pulled, Woody can say a few simple phrases. Woody has been Andy's favorite toy for years and Andy has covered his room with Woody pictures, Woody posters and other Woody paraphernalia. Woody enjoys his status as the favorite, a position represented by the fact that he is the only toy that stays on Andy's bed. In addition Andy has emblazoned his name on the bottom of Woody's shoe.

As Andy's favorite, Woody claims the role of the head toy in Andy's room. Woody is in charge of all toy meetings and major decisions.
