Gordie and his friends take the journey of their young lives in Stand By Me. They experience a physical journey through the woods, but they also have an emotional and mental journey that will change their lives and that keeps the memory alive with Gordie years later.
The first journey the boys take is the physical journey. They travel from their homes in a small town down by the railroad tracks to look for the body of a young boy who has been murdered. They want to receive fame and acknowledgement for the good deed. As they travel, they experience some difficulties and many growing experiences that change who they will become as men.
Secondly, the boys take a mental and emotional journey. They are tested to their limits as they struggle.....
