Ed Bloom, played by Ewan McGregor (Young) and Albert Finney (Senior)

Description

Ed Bloom has been telling stories all his life. While his son Will was growing up, he wasn't around much, but he always made sure to tell his stories whenever he could. Will believes most of them are lies, much to Ed's grief. After Ed becomes ill, he and Will finally come to terms with their relationship.

Much of what the audience sees of Ed is through his stories from when he was a young man. We watch as he meets Sandra, falls desperately in love and sweeps her off her feet. Viewers also watch him save an entire town and help Jenny when she can't help herself.
