All About Eve is told through a series of Broadway shows. With each show, we learn something more about the characters, their motivations, and their attitudes. With the first show, we are introduced to all the characters. We learn that Eve is the simple girl who watches the show every night and is in awe of Margo. We learn that Margo is selfish and conceited but also very successful. We learn that Karen, Bill, and Lloyd are all a little more kindhearted than Margo, while Birdie is always honest.

During later shows, we watch while Eve tries to become more involved in Margo's world. One night after a show, Eve takes Margo's costume, and she stands outside and practices bowing while wearing it. We also see that Eve manipulates her way into.....
