Summary: Mega projects left many social difficulties on Native people. Due to the James Bay project the Cree Indians' lifestyle was destroyed because they were forced to leave their homes. Due to the mega projects of the past, Canada is still suffering today. This shows that although mega projects are supposed to be profitable for Canada, they have many side effects which take away from many of their benefits.
Mega projects leave mega impacts on society. These projects in Canada have set many unfortunate deficits that we are now dealing with that may never be made up for. Some of the types of burdens that these supposedly profitable projects have caused are economical, social, and environmental. All Canadians are now paying for the mistakes that were made several years ago by the government.

The economical consequences that were left for Canada to deal with when mega projects failed were very complex and left a huge impact on how Canada looked at things financially. The James Bay Project has left Canada paying its debt from the early 1970's.
